Sync OneNote

Question

I tried to sync my one note from my laptop to myiPhone ???

OneNote can't sync your notes right now. We'll keep trying. (Error code: 0xE0000644 9zu13)

Nothing helps. HELP!!!

I can see that you are having sync issue with OneNote

I understand how frustrating this is, especially when you are trying to get your OneNote notes from your laptop to your iPhone and the sync keeps failing with error code 0xE0000644 9zu13.

Before removing or resetting anything, please first check where the latest copy of your notes currently exists:

• On your laptop, open OneNote and check whether the latest notes are visible there.
• Then open OneNote on the web or OneDrive using the same Microsoft account, and check whether the notebook opens there.
• If the notes are visible on the laptop but not on the web/iPhone, avoid closing or removing the notebook from the laptop until you copy or back up the latest pages.

Then you can try these steps here:

• Force sync on the laptop: In OneNote for Windows, go to File > Info > View Sync Status, then choose Sync Now for the affected notebook.
• Force sync on iPhone: Open OneNote on iPhone, go back to the Notebooks list, then pull down the list to refresh/sync.
• Update OneNote on both devices: Update OneNote from the Microsoft Store/Office update on Windows, and from the App Store on iPhone.
• Check the notebook in OneNote for the web: If it opens correctly online, close and reopen the notebook on the iPhone by removing it from the notebook list and adding it again from More Notebooks. This does not delete the online notebook but do this only after confirming your latest notes are safely visible online.
• If only one section or page is affected: Create a new section or notebook, then copy the pages from the affected section into the new one and try syncing again.

The error can sometimes be tied to a specific notebook/section sync problem rather than the whole OneNote app, so identifying whether the notebook opens correctly in OneNote for the web is the key next step.
