Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Are you using a personal Outlook.com account or a work/school Microsoft 365 account? Also, are you getting a specific error when trying to add another alias?

For a personal Outlook.com / Microsoft account, the usual limit is up to 10 active aliases on the account.

Microsoft also limits how often aliases can be added. Based on current Microsoft Q&A guidance, you can add up to 2 new aliases within 7 days, and up to 10 new aliases within a 365-day period.

Please note that deleting an alias does not always immediately free the yearly limit. Also, if you delete a Microsoft-domain alias like @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com, it is permanently deleted and cannot be added again.

I have only created 1 of 2 email addresses. I have tried many but they were not available. Yet, I am blocked from creating the second one. I need the second one for my small business start-up. Why the incorrect block? I have verified that only on is on my Account Info page.

    John:

    Understood and thank you.

(Account is personal and receiving "We limit how frequently you can add aliases to your account. Please try again later" error.)

My understanding was 10 but wasn't aware of the timelock. I'll wait a week and try again.

    v/r,

    CMJ
