I would like to get assistance with being able to make changes on old documents in MS Word, etc. since my computer is running on an old macOS Big Sur that does not have the capacity to update a newer version.

You can buy a copy of Office 2024 with Outlook or without Outlook. Or you can subscribe to Microsoft 365. Using one of those licenses you can download, install and activate Office on your older Mac, by following these instructions: Most Recent Office You Can Run - Best Practices You will have the latest version you can run on your Mac and will not receive any further updates.

    Hi,

Do you have Office 2021 or Office 365?

Here is the download link for the Office 2021/365 version compatible with Big Sur: https://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/C1297A47-86C4-4C1F-97FA-950631F94777/MacAutoupdate/Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.77.23091003_Installer.pkg

If you have Office 365, you can install the version linked above; however, please note that Office 365 will stop working on your Mac on July 13th, even if you install the compatible version.

An alternative is to use Office for the web: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-started-with-office-for-the-web-in-microsoft-365

Let me know if it worked.

    Thanks.
