Developer Suggestion

As a contracting officer in the United States Air Force I tend to do several repetitive tasks over Teams to communicate with mission partners, contractors, etc. One of these tasks is tagging members of the acquisition team with new construction submittals. We receive potentially hundreds of these submittals every day and am requesting an update that although may seem insignificant would vastly streamline my workload. When copy and pasting essential verbiage in discussion channels, Teams prompts me to select the person which I am attempting to tag every single time. This would be fine if there wasn't upwards of 10 people I have to select from. If the verbiage has the direct contract information of who I am attempting to tag I believe it should automatically choose them. When the verbiage is pasted, whom ever was tagged becomes text instead of a direct tag. All I ask is that this suggestion is considered and if a better description is needed of my issue, I will be happy to explain further.

    Hello @Jacob Madriaga,

Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion and for providing such a clear explanation of your workflow. I can definitely see how this behavior in Teams could become repetitive and time‑consuming, especially when you're dealing with a high volume of submissions and need to tag multiple people frequently.

Your use case makes a lot of sense, and I really appreciate you outlining it in detail, it helps highlight how even small improvements could make a meaningful difference in day-to-day productivity.

Since this type of change would need to be considered by the product team, the best way to make sure your idea gets reviewed is to submit it through the Microsoft Feedback Portal: Microsoft Teams · Community

The product team actively monitors this site, and many features have been introduced or improved based on feedback from users like you. Submitting your suggestion there gives it visibility and helps it get evaluated for potential future updates.

After you’ve posted your feedback, feel free to come back here and share the link in this thread. That way, other users who come across the discussion can check it out and upvote it, which can help bring more attention to your request.
