Hi Ebong,
If Windows Security (Microsoft Defender) is missing from the Windows Settings app, it is typically caused by a third-party antivirus, disabled Defender services, Group Policy restrictions, or corrupted system files.
I recommend verifying that no third-party antivirus solution is installed, as Windows Defender is automatically disabled when another antivirus is active. Also, ensure the SecurityHealthService and WinDefend services are running.
If the issue persists, run the following commands from an elevated Command Prompt to repair any corrupted system files:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
If the device is managed by an organization, also verify that no Group Policy or Intune configuration is disabling Microsoft Defender or hiding the Windows Security app.
Thanks,
