my type c port stopped recognizing devices (flash drive, phone, earphones) after i had to reset it due to previous prevailing issues, but it can power devices, how do i go about resolving this issue

When connecting any USB devices, do you get any error messages like "unknown USB" or any connection sounds?
Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands:
sfc /scannowanddism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish, and restart the computer.Thanks
