To use it with Visual Studio 2026 Professional!!!.
When we run the Installer, it gets stuck on:
What would be the reason why it is not detecting the instance?

can you please confirm already installed sql server or newly installing. which one you installed first vs2016 or sql server please confirm.

It is a virtual machine used by the Development Team.
And indeed, it does not have any SQL product installed!!!.
This could be the reason why it can't be installed???.
