Although workloads may continue to run on Azure Synapse Runtime for Apache Spark 3.4 for a limited time, they are now on an unsupported runtime and no longer receive bug fixes, security updates, or vulnerability patches from Microsoft.
Azure Synapse Runtime for Apache Spark 3.5 includes improvements in performance, reliability, and security, and continues to receive bug fixes, vulnerability patches, and security updates.

Based on the information available, once all impacted Spark pools have been migrated to Azure Synapse Runtime for Apache Spark 3.5, the advisory notifications should stop. If the migration has already been completed, it may take some time for the notifications to cease. As communicated in the advisory, these notifications are expected to stop from October.
