Hey there, Neil R

This file was most likely created by a game and saved inside your Documents folder on OneDrive. Many games store their save data or progress files there so the information can sync across devices. Normally, these files sit inside a dedicated folder for the game, but occasionally you’ll see standalone files like this.

You can safely delete it. If you play the game again, it will recreate the file. These types of files only store things like progress or in‑game currency and don’t affect how the game actually runs. Anything that affects game mechanics or installation lives inside the Program Files directory instead. Just be aware that you may loose your progress in the game that created the file, but you would be able to restore the file from the recycling bin if needed. Files are kept for 30 days before the recycling bin is emptied automatically.

Hope this helps,
Nathan

Hi Neil,

The DefaultCoinsFile.txt file is a temporary file usually created by a third-party game or app, you can safely delete that file, it is not a Windows system file and deleting that file will not have any adverse effect on your system.
