Thank you for the update. Since there are no Not responding processes and the affected window still shows 18 tabs on the taskbar, it appears the session is stuck.

Please save any work in your other Edge windows, then end all Microsoft Edge processes in Task Manager and reopen Edge. If prompted, select Restore to recover your previous session.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend submitting feedback to the Edge team by pressing ALT+SHIFT+I from one of your working Edge windows. This appears to be an unusual session restore issue, and your feedback may help Microsoft investigate it further.

    Hi there,

This looks like a display/rendering glitch, not an actual crash — Edge is likely still running behind that garbled overlay. Try this:

    1. Click and drag the window slightly, or try resizing it — this often forces Windows to redraw it properly.
    2. If that doesn't work, right-click the Edge icon in the taskbar and select "Close window" for that specific window, then reopen Edge normally (it should restore your tabs).
    3. If it keeps happening, go to edge://settings/system and turn off "Use graphics acceleration when available," then restart Edge — this is usually the fix for garbled/corrupted window rendering after a restart.
    4. Also worth updating your graphics driver, since this kind of glitch is often GPU-related.

Hope that gets it back to normal!

    Hi, good day!

Looking at your screenshot, the Edge window itself is open, but the content area appears to have collapsed to almost zero height.

Here are some of the things you can try.

Please try to resize using the keyboard

    Click the affected Edge window.

Press Alt + Space, then S.

Press the Up Arrow repeatedly (20–30 times) or hold it to increase the size.

    Press Enter.

If that doesn't work, hover your mouse over the Microsoft Edge icon on the taskbar and close the affected Edge window from the preview.

Then, in one of the remaining Edge windows, press CTRL+SHIFT+T to reopen the recently closed window and its tabs.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
