    Yep got same message on my Mac... after a couple hours with MS support I was basically told I am screwed... my mac is only on v 10.15 and no longer supported even though Office still worked but Microsoft made it so my PAID FOR Office no longer works.... Done with Microsoft products...

    @JOHN KIVLEN

    Do you still need assistance with this?

    The change which was enforced in the middle of July was that you now need macOS Monterey or later and you need a license of Office which lets you upgrade to at least version 16.83. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/officeinstall/update-m365-office-macos-ios .

    For more, see John Korchok’s article at https://www.brandwares.com/bestpractices/2023/03/most-recent-office-you-can-run-best-practices/ .

    You can use LibreOffice as a replacement, if you can’t upgrade macOS or if you don’t want to upgrade. It can create files that are compatible with Microsoft Office (word processor documents, spreadsheets, presentations).

    If you want to send feedback to Microsoft, use the portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback .

    Hi! Let me help you.

    What were you doing when it happened (installing something, running a specific app, Windows Update, a game, etc.)?

    Did a specific program name appear in the error dialog?
