I got the message this morning that Microsoft 365 neededd to be activated on my mac. I have an active substription and all other microsoft products work except for EXCEL. I try to activate it but I keep getting a message "Unknown Error An unknown error has occurred. The error code is: 0x0"

The best option is to completely uninstall the Office apps from your Mac, then follow the steps at this link to remove the Office license.
Then, restart your Mac and sign in to your Microsoft account online ( https://account.microsoft.com/services/ ) to reinstall the Office apps.
