I switched today from my 365 Personal plan to join my wife's 365 Family plan. The responding message was that my Personal Subscription will continue to 2027.

I read that my plan will beresidual amount on my account will prorated and credited to the new subscription (the family plan).

How do I ensure that action will happen? How do I verify said action?

    Hi, @Arthur Duffy

The prorated conversion applies when you upgrade from Personal to Family using the same Microsoft account that owns the Personal subscription. Microsoft currently converts Personal time to Family time at 92%.

Because you joined your wife’s Microsoft 365 Family plan, your Personal subscription stays separate. The remaining time is not transferred or credited to her subscription.

    Check your account here: account.microsoft.com/services

If your Personal plan still shows an expiry date in 2027, no conversion happened. Turn off recurring billing to prevent another charge.

Was your Personal subscription purchased directly from Microsoft? Also, did you receive any message confirming a refund or credit?
