I am getting a subscription cancelled notification when I open up MS Outlook, or WORD, or EXCEL, however, my account shows active and paid for with Microsoft 365 Basic annual plan? Please advise as this message is a huge annoyance. Thank you. Manuel

    Hi,

Microsoft 365 Basic includes 100 GB of OneDrive storage, and additional security features, but it does not include a license for the desktop versions of Word, Excel, or Outlook.

If you're seeing a "Subscription Cancelled" message when opening those desktop apps, it usually means the apps were previously activated with a different Microsoft 365 subscription (such as Microsoft 365 Personal or Family) or with an Office license that has since expired or been canceled.

Did you previously have a Microsoft 365 Personal, Family?

In Word > File > Account, what does it show under Product Information? Does it say Subscription Cancelled, Unlicensed Product, or something else?
