Easy anti cheat error: Createservice failed with 1072

Question

Ive been trying to fix fortnite. It keeps throwing the same error. I verified the game files, and I tried to see if my antivirus was causing an issue, but I couldnt find the exclusions section.

Error 1072 means the Easy Anti-Cheat service is marked for deletion but has not yet been fully removed. Restarting Windows should normally complete that process.

Please try:

• Restart the PC using Start > Power > Restart.
• Launch Fortnite and allow Easy Anti-Cheat to reinstall if prompted.
• If the error remains, reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat using Epic Games’ official instructions.
• If reinstalling does not help, Epic recommends updating the graphics driver and testing with a clean boot.
