Will I lose any saved data on Excel or Word by doing this?

    Thank you for that information.

This problem is caused by the July 13 update, many people are reporting this same error.

The best option is to use the steps provided on this link to completely uninstall the Office apps, then download and reinstall the Office apps.

Yes I am getting 0x0 and can’t make a new worksheet either. I have the Microsoft 365 package and having tried Word that seemed ok.

There are a couple of on-going problems with the Office apps on an Apple Mac at the moment caused by the July 13 update.

Are you also unable to create a new Excel workbook and save that, or is the problem only affecting previously created Excel workbooks, and are you seeing any error like an 0x0 error in Excel.
