A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hi Ludger,
Based on your information, you're mixing two different OneDrive systems:
- The
https://d.docs.live.net/<CID>method is for consumer/personal OneDrive, where a CID exists - Your URL
xxxxx-my.sharepoint.comis OneDrive for Business/SharePoint Online, so you will not see a CID, and viewid= is not usable for mapping.
For OneDrive for Business, you just need to add the folder to File Explorer via OneDrive:
- Open the shared folder in OneDrive/SharePoint in your browser
- Make sure the OneDrive desktop sync client is running and signed in with the same account
- Select the folder > click "Add shortcut to My files" > the folder should appear under your local OneDrive folder in file explorer.
Important: "Add shortcut to My files" is normally available for folders where you have permission, especially edit access. It is not available for individual files, and it may not work for anonymous “anyone with the link” access.
