hi & thx for sharing urs issue here at Q&A portal,
Unfortunately, there isn't a customer-facing restore option for a deleted Azure Databricks workspace. If the workspace resource was deleted, it generally can't be recovered from the Azure portal. Whether it can be restored depends on whether Microsoft can recover it from backend metadata, and that requires Azure support. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request?source=recommendations
The challenge is that the Developer support plan doesn't include technical break/fix support, so u'll need to either
Upgrade your Azure support plan temporarily and open a technical support request, or
If the deletion was very recent, contact Azure Billing/Subscription support and ask them to route the request to the Azure Databricks team to determine whether backend recovery is possible.
If recovery isn't possible, you'll need to create a new Databricks workspace and restore notebooks, libraries, and other assets from any available backups, Git repositories, or exported workspace artifacts. Data stored in external services such as ADLS Gen2 or Azure Storage is not deleted when the Databricks workspace resource is deleted, provided those resources weren't deleted as well.
Could u pls clarify was only the Azure Databricks workspace deleted, or was the entire resource group deleted? Approximately how long ago was it deleted? Do u still have the managed resource group, or was that deleted too?
Those details will help determine whether any recovery options remain.
rgds,
Alex
