Question

Our FMicrosoft renewal tracking spreadsheet breaks down license counts, costs, and funding sources across several programs. Is there a way to integrate or ingest this allocation data directly into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to track these custom department/program associations, or must we continue to reconcile these funding allocations manually?

Hi Sierra,

At this time, Microsoft 365 Admin Center does not support importing custom funding-allocation data or tracking license costs by grant, program, or funding source. While you can manage license assignments and report on licensed users within Microsoft 365, organizations typically maintain funding and cost-allocation details in external systems such as Excel, Power BI, or financial management tools. As a result, you would generally need to continue reconciling these funding allocations outside of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, although exporting Microsoft 365 licensing data can help streamline that process.

However, I believe this process could be greatly impacting to your workflow, I highly recommend submitting a suggestion directly to the product team by navigating to Ideas · Community. This is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements.
