Cannot send emails

I go into outlook and sign in but it does not recognize my email

Thanks for sharing the exact error.

The 550 5.1.8 AS(42004) message means Microsoft has temporarily restricted the account from sending email. This can happen after unusual activity, suspected spam, or sending many messages.

The Email & collaboration > Restricted entities page is for Microsoft 365 business accounts. A personal Outlook.com account will not normally appear there.

To confirm which steps apply:

Does your address end in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, or @live.com, or does it use your own business domain?

Do you have Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Business?

Also, check your Sent folder. Do you see messages you did not send, or did you recently send a large number of emails?

I get the same error message. "******@ Remote server returned '550 5.1.8 Access denied, bad outbound sender AS(42004)'"

This is my personal email I use as a business and when going to email and collaborations to see if I can unblock the user aka me, there isn't a user there for me to unblock like most suggestions I have found.

What happens when you enter your email address? Do you see an error such as “account does not exist” or “incorrect password”? Please share the exact error message, but do not post your full email address or password.

• Click on "Search" and follow the instructions provided.
