Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi,
Error Code 105 with Error Tag 4ut0z is usually not a client-side issue. It can indicate that the Microsoft Education account hasn't been properly provisioned, isn't licensed, or there's a problem with the organization's Microsoft Entra ID or Microsoft 365 Education setup.
Before assuming it's an account issue, could you let us know:
- Are you signing in through a web browser or an Office application?
- Does the problem occur on multiple devices and networks?
- Is this a new Microsoft Education account or one that worked previously?
- Can you share the full error details, including the Correlation ID, Timestamp, and Request ID (if shown)?
If you've already tried different browsers, InPrivate/Incognito mode, clearing the cache, and another network, the next step is usually to contact your school's Microsoft 365 administrator. They can verify that your account is active, has the appropriate Microsoft 365 Education license assigned, and isn't being blocked by a tenant or Conditional Access policy.
With the Correlation ID and Timestamp, Microsoft support or the organization's IT administrator can also look up the corresponding sign-in logs to identify the exact cause.
