Text-based conversations between users with searchable history in Microsoft Teams Free
Hi Tony!
If you mean a chat transcript from a Microsoft Teams meeting, then here's how to do it:
Sign in to the Export My Data pagewith the same Microsoft account you use in Teams. Select Chat history, optionally select Media, submit the request, then return to Available Exports and download the archive when it appears. Microsoft covers this workflow in its Teams Free chat-export instructions .
The download is a .tar archive rather than a ready-to-print document. Extract it to find messages.json, follow Microsoft’s instructions to open the viewer’s index.html, load that JSON file, and select the recent conversation. If you meant that you wanted a transcribed meeting rather than chat messages, you can open the past meeting and use Recap > Transcript > Download to get the transcript, subject to the organizer’s permissions.
