Hi Ricardo Bonilla,
I can understand how frustrating it is when Copilot not working correctly, especially when it just reports a generic error without explaining the cause. Since your post does not mention the exact edition of Copilot that you're using, I can only suggest some common steps to try:
1 - Check whether the issue is temporary
- This sometimes occurs when the Copilot service is temporarily unavailable or overloaded.
- Test Copilot from a different browser, device, and network if possible (e.g. mobile hotspot)
- Close Copilot completely > turn off your PC and wait a few minutes > turn on and try again.
2 - Sign out and sign back in
- Sign out of your Microsoft account.
- Close all browser windows / Copilot app.
- Sign back in and test Copilot again.
3 - Clear browser cache (if using Copilot on the web)
- Open your browser > press Ctrl + Shift + Del (or Clear browsing data)
- Select options to Clear cached files and cookies > Clear now.
- Close then restart the browser > try Copilot again.
3 - Run Microsoft's Copilot troubleshooter (Windows)
- Try: Copilot troubleshooters | Microsoft Support.
- Open the Get Help app in Windows.
- Search for Copilot connectivity troubleshooter.
- Run the troubleshooter and follow the recommendations.
Just wondering, are you using Windows Copilot, Copilot in Edge (or a browser), or Microsoft 365 Copilot? Is this a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account? That information will help narrow down the cause and avoid suggesting steps you've already tried.
