I am not receiving a code on the authenticator app. The authenticator app is also asking for authentification and I am stuck in an endless loop. Please help me out with this.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. On the sign-in screen, select Sign in another way, I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now, or any similar option.
      • If available, use another verification method such as SMS, phone call, or email.
    2. If the Authenticator app shows Authentication did not complete, check these common causes:
      • Unlock the Microsoft Authenticator app.
      • Make sure notifications are enabled and not silent.
      • Update to the latest version of Microsoft Authenticator.
      • Check internet connectivity and try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
      • Make sure the device date and time are correct.
    3. If a push notification is not arriving, check whether it is going to an older phone where Authenticator was previously active.
      • If the old device is still available, open Authenticator there and approve the sign-in.
      • If the old device is not available, use another verification method if one is offered.
    4. For work or school accounts, some sign-ins do not generate a push notification automatically. In that case, open Microsoft Authenticator and refresh the app to look for the approval request.
    5. If the app is asking for authentication and creating a loop, and no alternate sign-in method is available, contact the organization’s IT admin or Help desk.
      • They can clear or reset the MFA settings and require re-registration.
      • If the device was lost or stolen, the Help desk should clear the settings so registration can be completed again.
    6. If this is a personal Microsoft account and no code is arriving, another verification method may be required, or access to the listed phone or email may be needed. Support agents cannot send verification codes or change account details.
