Removing two step verification

Question

I try removing it for Rockstar.com and it asks for a verification code from the app but the app never sends one. I just want this whole process gone. I want to remove this two step verification all together

For a personal Microsoft account, two-step verification can be turned off from the account security settings:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft account Security tab.
2. Select Manage how I sign in.
3. Under Additional security and Two-step verification, choose Turn off.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the sign-in prompt is asking for a code from Microsoft Authenticator and the app is not providing one, access to another verification method may be required. If access to the Authenticator app was lost or the phone was replaced, other authentication methods can still be used if they were previously added.

If the account is passwordless or still tied to the old Authenticator device, remove the old app method:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard.
2. Go to Security > Advanced security options.
3. Under Ways to prove who you are, find Send sign-in notification with the device name.
4. Expand it and select Remove.

Important points:

• If two-step verification is turned on, two forms of identification are always required.
• If access to the contact method is lost, the password alone will not restore access.
• Microsoft strongly recommends having three pieces of security info on the account.
• Some older apps and devices may require an app password instead of a normal verification code.

If this is a work or school account instead of a personal Microsoft account, and there is no working sign-in method left, the organization’s Help desk must clear the MFA settings.
