Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello Nick Taylor,
Thank you for your post. I understand that your business has closed and you would like to cancel the subscription after noticing a recent charge.
To help me guide you correctly, could you please confirm the exact subscription you have, such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, Personal, or another plan? If it is a business subscription, are you still able to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center? Also, was the subscription purchased directly from Microsoft or through a reseller or Microsoft partner?
If you can still sign in using an administrator or billing account, go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Billing > Your products, select the affected subscription, and choose "Cancel subscription". You will need the appropriate administrator or billing permissions to manage the subscription. Please follow Microsoft’s official instructions here: Cancel your Microsoft business subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center | Microsoft Learn
If the subscription was purchased through a reseller or partner, you may need to contact that provider directly because they may manage the billing and cancellation. If it was purchased directly from Microsoft but you can no longer access the Admin Center, Microsoft Billing Support may need to verify the tenant and transaction before assisting further.
Please let me know the exact subscription name, how it was purchased, and whether you can still access the Admin Center. If you cannot sign in, let me know what happens so I can guide you toward the appropriate next step.
Kind regards,
