Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi!
If the problem occurred after installing Norton, it might have blocked it for some reason. I have encountered similar issues with other antivirus programs. You can try temporarily uninstalling Norton, restarting your computer, and attempting to log in with your account.
If the problem persists, try adding your account this way:
- Press Windows + R > type
control> Under View By, select Large Icons > Click on Mail (Microsoft Outlook). - Click on Add Account (Or Show Profiles > Add Profile if there is no profile).
- Select Manual setup or additional server types > POP or IMAP > Fill in the requested fields with your account information.
- You should be able to obtain all this information from your email provider.
- Click on More Settings > Fill in more information in Outgoing Server and Advanced.
- Click OK > Next.
Some email providers require an application code instead of a password. If the problem persists, try generating an application code and using it in place of the password.
