WINDOWS CAMERA APP AND VB.NET

I WOULD LIKE TO SNAP A PICTURE WHEN AN UNAUTHORIZED USER PLUGS IN A PHONE OR USB DEVICE AND POSSIBLY STORE THAT TO DISK. IS ANYONE AWARE OF COMMAND LINE SWITCHES OR PROGRAM 'REFERENCES' USING VB.NET FOR THE BUILT IN WINDOWS CAMERA APP? THE IMPORTS FOR SYSTEM MANAGEMENT, DIAGNOSTICS, AND SECURITY WORK WELL TO DETECT WHEN SUCH EVENTS HAPPEN, AND IT IS EASY TO TURN OFF UNAUTHORIZED PROCESSES, SUCH AS MSEDGE, ETC. WHAT WOULD BE NICE IS TO RECORD A PICTURE USING THE BUILT IN CAMERA OF THE LAPTOP.

Hi @FrankMPeck ,
Here's a related reference you can refer to.
C# Camera Capture using only default library
Note: the code is c#, and you can convert them to vb. net.
Hope it could be helpful.

For camera capture, you can use DirectShow
I had posted a sample in VB in this thread : Draw Shape Over camera Preview in Visual basic 2010
