A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
For Artifact Signing identity validation, the supported flow is:
- In Azure portal, open the Artifact Signing account.
- Go to Identity validations.
- When the status is Action Required, select the validation entry and open the link under Please complete your verification here.
- Complete the external verification flow, then in Microsoft Authenticator add the Verified ID and share it back to Artifact Signing.
- After a successful handoff, the browser should show Verification Successful, and the Azure portal status should change to Completed after a few minutes.
Since the Authenticator screen is stuck and the browser keeps showing another QR code, check these items first:
- Make sure Microsoft Authenticator is unlocked on the phone.
- Make sure notifications are enabled for Microsoft Authenticator and not silenced.
- Update to the latest version of Microsoft Authenticator.
- Verify the phone has a working internet connection. Switching between Wi‑Fi and mobile data can help.
- Verify the phone date and time settings are correct.
- Restart the verification flow and complete it promptly. A related Microsoft Entra verification setup issue can fail if the session is left too long; complete the process within 10 minutes.
If the browser never reaches Verification Successful and the Authenticator app remains non-interactive, there is no documented self-service recovery in the Artifact Signing guidance for this state. The supported next step is to contact support/admin assistance for the authentication issue.
