Cannot access excel spreadsheet

I have a subscription to microsoft family and have put my work email onto the sahring list. I cannot edit a microsoft excel spreadsheet that I have downloaded from my work email.

What exact message appears when you try to edit the spreadsheet?

In Excel, go to “File” > “Account.” Which email address is signed in, and does it show “Product Activated”?

Does the file show “Read-only,” “Protected View,” or an “Enable Editing” button at the top?

This will help determine whether the issue is activation, account access, or a restriction on the work file.
