Blocking McAfee pop-ups

How do I block unsolicited McAfee pop-ups? They are covering a third of my screen.

These pop-ups are usually triggered by the McAfee web extensions installed in your browser.

• Open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, click the three dots, and go to the Extensions page.
• If you see McAfee extensions installed, remove them from the browser. Then,

Open your main browser (Edge or Chrome).

1. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings.
2. Then click "View permissions and data stored across sites." (For Edge - Select Site Permissions)
3. Here, you should see a list of websites, including any malicious websites that you allowed to send notifications.
4. You can click "Delete all data" there, which will sign you out of all websites and should block the McAfee notification permissions that are being triggered by third-party websites.

If you use Chrome as your main browser, go to Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Pop-ups and redirects.

Select "Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects."
