Azure Speech Studio Custom Keyword Basic models stuck in Processing for more than 24 hours

Two Azure Speech Studio Custom Keyword Basic models are stuck in the Processing state.

Resource name: xiaoma-speech-yifan

Region: West US 2

Pricing tier: F0

Subscription: Azure for Students

Model 1:

Keyword: 小马小马

Model type: Basic

Status: Processing for more than 24 hours

Model 2:

Keyword: 嗨小马

Model type: Basic

Status: Processing for several hours

I refreshed Speech Studio and confirmed that both models remain in Processing.

Azure Service Health shows no active service issues and no related incidents in recent history.

Could someone check whether Custom Keyword model generation is currently delayed or whether these jobs might be stuck in the backend?

    Hi @Yifan

Processing for a Custom Keyword Basic model normally completes within minutes to a few hours, so remaining in the Processing state for more than 24 hours is not expected.

    Since you've already confirmed:

    • The issue affects multiple models.
    • Azure Service Health shows no active incidents.
    • Refreshing Speech Studio doesn't change the status.

This is likely a backend provisioning or model generation issue rather than a configuration problem in your project.

    At this point, I'd recommend:

    • Waiting a little longer (up to 48 hours if possible).
    • Trying to create a new Basic keyword model to see if the behavior is reproducible.
    • If all model generations remain stuck, open an Azure Support request (or use the support option available with your Azure for Students subscription) and provide:
      • Resource name: xiaoma-speech-yifan
      • Region: West US 2
      • Approximate model creation times
      • Model names/keywords and screenshots of the Processing state

The Azure Speech team can check the backend training pipeline and determine whether the requests are queued or stuck. Unfortunately, there's no user-side action that can unblock a model once it's stalled in the service backend.
