Hello,

Reaching out to see if anyone is experiencing this issue with Microsoft Teams. It seems that the application's interface is distorted and causing the chats and other Teams functionalities to not load properly. A simple reset of the app fixes it temporarily for the day. Once the end users sign back into their workstation the next day, it happens again. It is not affecting everyone at this time. TeamsIssue

    Hi,

From the screenshot, it looks like the Teams interface is not rendering correctly (menus, chat pane, and other UI elements appear distorted), which is typically related to the Teams client, rendering engine, or the local user profile rather than the Teams service itself.

Since resetting the app only resolves the issue until the next sign-in, could you help confirm a few details?

    • Is this happening with the new Microsoft Teams desktop client?
    • Are all affected users on the same Teams version and Windows build?
    • Does the issue occur immediately after signing in, or only after the PC has been running for some time?
    • Does Teams work normally in the web app (https://teams.microsoft.com) when the desktop client is affected?

In the meantime, I’d recommend trying the following:

    1/ Check for Teams updates

In Teams, select Settings and more (…) > Check for updates.

    2/ Disable GPU hardware acceleration

Open Teams > Settings > General, disable Hardware acceleration (if available), then restart Teams.

3/ Update Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime

The new Teams client relies on WebView2 for rendering. Ensure it is up to date: https://developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/webview2/

4/ Repair or reinstall the new Teams client

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Teams > Advanced options, then try Repair. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Teams.

If multiple users are experiencing the same behavior, please also let us know:

    • Approximately how many users are affected.
    • Whether the issue started after a recent Windows update or Teams update.
    • The current Teams version (Settings > About > Version) and Windows version (winver).

This information will help determine whether the issue is related to a client-specific rendering problem or a recent product update affecting a subset of users.
