Minecraft Java & Bedrock purchase missing, order history empty, and Microsoft account locked due to inaccessible Gmail

I purchased Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition from Minecraft.net on July 20, 2025, using Google Pay (UPI) and received a Microsoft purchase confirmation email with an order number. However, the game now shows "Buy" instead of "Play" or "Install", and my Microsoft Order History is completely empty, even after selecting the 7-year filter. I believe the purchase may be linked to an older Microsoft account that uses ****@gmail.com, but I cannot access that account because Microsoft stops at the "Help us secure your account" page and sends a verification code to that Gmail. The problem is that when I try to sign in to that Gmail, Google says "Couldn't find your Google Account," but when I try to create a new Gmail with the same username, it says "Username already taken." I also tried the Microsoft Account Recovery form, but it asks for the last four digits of a payment card, while I purchased the game using UPI through Google Pay, so I cannot provide card details. I still have the Microsoft receipt, order number, and Google Pay transaction as proof of purchase. How can I recover access to the Microsoft account or restore my Minecraft license?

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this situation. The verification process required to access a Microsoft account cannot be bypassed, and Microsoft Support cannot send a password-reset link or change the account’s security information.

Since the verification code is being sent to a Google account you cannot access, select Try another way if another method is available. Otherwise, you must attempt to recover the Google account through Google’s official recovery process.

The Microsoft purchase-confirmation email and transaction ID can help identify the account used to purchase Minecraft. However, if the game was purchased as a gift, it belongs to the Microsoft account on which the gift code was redeemed.

When completing the Microsoft recovery form, provide as much historical information as possible. If it requests payment-card information, enter details from any card that may previously have been used with that Microsoft account, not necessarily only the card used for the most recent purchase.

Thank you for your response. My situation is different because I did not purchase Minecraft with a credit or debit card. I purchased Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition from Minecraft.net on July 20, 2025, using Google Pay (UPI), so I cannot provide any card details in the Microsoft Account Recovery form. I also cannot recover the Gmail account because Google says the account does not exist, even though the username is already taken. I have the Microsoft purchase confirmation email, the order number, and the Google Pay transaction proving the purchase. Since the game does not show as owned and my Microsoft Order History is empty, could you please advise how I can contact a team that can verify my purchase using the order number and restore the Minecraft license or help recover access to the correct Microsoft account?

Microsoft Support cannot grant access to an account if you cannot verify that you own it. If you do not remember the email address, you can use Microsoft’s username recovery tool:

It is also not possible to transfer purchases between Microsoft accounts. You need to access the account that was originally used for the purchase. If the purchase does not appear in the order history, then you are signed in to the wrong account.

As mentioned previously, the form does not specifically ask for the card used for this particular purchase. It can be any payment card that may have been added to the account at any point.
