First, do not continue editing or overwrite the current file. Save a separate copy on your Mac.
Please check the document in OneDrive Web: https://onedrive.live.com
Right-click the file and select “Version history.” See whether an earlier version contains the missing work.
Also, please confirm:
- Is the document still open in Word, or was Word closed after the work disappeared?
- Does OneDrive show any sync error or red X on your Mac?
- Was AutoSave turned on while you were editing?
Please also check Word for Mac under “File” > “Browse Version History.” Let me know what versions and times are listed.
