Network Hostname

The hostname (Computer name > GerEngrCPU9) does not appear when I double-click on the Network Icon. What appears in its place is 127.0.0.1. Can you guide me in removing the current reference and substituting the computer name?

To edit the Hosts file, follow these steps:

1. Open Notepad as Administrator: Search for "Notepad" in the Windows search bar. Right-click on Notepad and select "Run as administrator".
2. Open the Hosts File: In Notepad, go to File > Open. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Change the file type filter to "All Files (.)". Select the "hosts" file and click "Open".
3. Edit the Hosts File: verify if the GerEngrCPU9 hostname contains in file. If yes, delete that entry, save the file and then flush the dns cache (ipconfig /flushdns)
