Request for Exception – Azure Developer Associate Renewal Expired by a Few Hours

Hello Microsoft Credentials Support,

I am requesting your kind consideration regarding my Azure Developer Associate certification renewal.

My certification expired on July 31, 2026 at 7:59 AM (UTC+08:00). Unfortunately, I realized later that I had missed the renewal deadline by only a few hours.

The mistake happened because I checked the expiration date but overlooked the specific time of expiration. I genuinely believed I had until the end of July 31 to complete the renewal assessment.

I fully understand that renewal deadlines exist and I take responsibility for this oversight. As an Azure professional who actively works with Azure technologies in my daily role, maintaining my certification is very important to me.

Given that the certification expired only a few hours before I noticed, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could consider making an exception by allowing me to complete the renewal assessment or otherwise restore my eligibility to renew.

That certification and exam retires today - there is no time to resolve your issue and anyway the renewal window cannot be extended or reopened

There is no exception path to renew after a Microsoft certification has expired. Renewal must be completed before the certification expiration date, and there are no alternative renewal paths or exceptions.

For role-based certifications such as Azure Developer Associate:

• The renewal window opens 6 months before expiration.
• Renewal assessments are free.
• If the certification expires, it can no longer be renewed.
• The certification must be earned again by passing the required exam(s).

If a certification is already expired, the renewal button cannot be reopened or extended.
