The symptoms you described are consistent with possible microcracks on the circuit board under the keyboard. Since the previous repair appears to have been only a partial repair, there may be additional damage elsewhere.
Driver or software issues typically do not behave this way.
To confirm whether the keyboard itself is the problem, test with the on-screen keyboard or connect a different keyboard through USB or Bluetooth. If the other keyboard works normally, that would strongly indicate a hardware issue.
I would avoid uninstalling or reinstalling drivers or software at this point, since it is unlikely to help and could introduce unnecessary new issues.
