    Your first step is to purchase a scanner that supports Windows 10. Setup the scanner according to the directions in the accompanying owners guide.

    Once you have everything setup, return to your owners guide where you will find the manufacturer's step-by-step instructions for scanning.

    If you are having problems with scanning, by all means take advantage of the scanner manufacturer's technical support. No one knows your scanner better. If the manufacturer sponsors a community forum (similar to Microsoft Q&A for Microsoft products) you can take advantage of that as well.

    Also, is it currently connected to your Lenovo IdeaPad via a USB cable or Wi-Fi?
