I am unable to convert Word documents to PDF. When I try to do that the PDF document ends up leaving spaces or moving words around in the text. I can't correct the PDF. I get a notice saying I have to purchase Adobe in order to correct the text in the PDF.

Before you convert the Word document, look at it in the print preview at File > Print. This is the best way to see which formatting you could expect in the converted PDF.

I'd like to emphasize that I also support Charles's suggestion to share the document, or a representative sample from which you have removed any sensitive content. That is often the quickest way to troubleshoot these types of issues.

Could you save a document (.docx) on OneDrive or DropBox and post a share link here?
You could also save the resulting pdf.

You can only edit a pdf file keeping the pdf format in a pdf editor such as Adobe Acrobat. Trying to edit in Word converts it to Word format again. Adobe Reader does not allow editing.

    Hi Hazel,

To further isolate the issue, you may try to install the free version of Adobe Reader through this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Once installed, ensure to restart your device first, then try again to convert Word to PDF and see how it goes.
