my 365 key will not work

I put in code for the new laptop purchased today at costco. I seems like it will not give me access to the Microsoft 365. I put in code and it says to try later etc.

Hi,

You should first redeem the product key so it will be linked to your Microsoft account. Then, sign in with that same Microsoft account to activate Office.

After redeeming the key, install Office and then activate it by signing in with the same Microsoft account.

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
2. Sign in using the Microsoft account associated with your license
3. Locate Microsoft Office and click Install
4. This will download the Office installer
5. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions

Once installed, open any Office app such as Word or Excel, then sign in using the Microsoft account associated with the purchase to activate Office.
