Hi,

My question is around which region the Recovery Services Vault should be in for Azure-to-Azure site recovery?

If I create the Recovery Services Vault in the primary region and the primary region has a failure, will the Recovery Services Vault and Site Recovery still be available?

E.g. I have a VM in Region A and an Recovery Services Vault also in Region A. I configure site recovery so the VM can be failed over to Region B.
If Region A blows, up will the Recovery Services Vault still be available in Region B so the failover can be initiated?

Azure Site Recovery
Azure Site Recovery

Never mind. The Portal has given me the answer

The region of the Recovery Services vault is the same as the source region. If you are protecting machines across zones and not across regions, you may continue. For cross-regional DR, please select a vault from different region.
