Yesterday (08/03/2026) I received an alert on my computer. I was instructed to call (202) 521-4852. When I did I talked to Mark Anderson (ID - MK0076. I am checking to make sure he is a representative.

No reason to try to verify anyone's employment. A message telling you to call a number isn't from Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't send out messages like this. This was a scam. Ignore it.

If you allowed this person to connect remotely to your computer, you might have opened yourself up for serious problems. Did you?
