Additional SQL Server features and topics not covered by specific categories
A product key is something you use when you install SQL Server. But a product key is not a license. You may have gotten hold of that product key from somewhere. And there is installation media which comes with the product key embedded.
The license itself is a piece of paper, a PDF or similar, and you should have records that you have bought the license from Microsoft directly or a reseller. If you don't find that record, and you are then license-audited it is not going to be fun.
Please note that this is a technical community forum and not a place where you can get authoritative answers about legal matters such as your question. It may be better to contact a local Microsoft representative directly.
