Microsoft To Do sync completely stuck on all devices (iPhone & Windows)

Hello,

My Microsoft To Do sync has been completely stuck for 2 days across all my devices (Windows 11 app, iOS app, and Web).

In the app settings, it constantly shows "Syncing..." or a sync error. Because of this, the "Get Support" option isn't even appearing in the app settings.

I have already tried reinstalling the apps and clearing cache/incognito mode, but it didn't help. This is clearly a server-side account lock/sync issue.

Could a Microsoft engineer please look into my account's sync status on the backend?

Thank you!

Hello mehemmed memmedov

Thank you for explaining the issue and the troubleshooting you have already completed.

Since synchronization is stuck across Windows, iOS, and the web version, this does not appear limited to one app or device. However, this is a user-to-user community, so we cannot access your account or check its backend synchronization status.

Please contact the Microsoft Support for further assistance:

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, are not allowed to directly interfere with Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited solely to providing technical guidance on reported incidents, requests, or ideas.

  1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
  2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
  3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
  4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
  5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

When submitting the request, include the sync error, affected platforms, account type, and any available session ID. Also avoid signing out from a device that may contain unsynchronized tasks, as locally unsynced data could be lost.

I hope the support team can investigate the account-side synchronization issue further.

Have a nice day.
