My sons Microsoft account was recently hacked, we know we cant get that back that's not my issue, my issue now is that his PC is linked to that account, we don't have the option to sign into a local account on there for some reason and we cant log into the Microsoft account as its been permanently suspended due to the hack. How can we change the main user email address without having to create a whole new user as he needs his files and settings ect

The notification indicating 'You need to update some info for your Microsoft account' indicates Windows cannot access your son's Microsoft account and that is causing the option to switch to a local account to be missing.

The only option on that PC will be to create a new user account, then copy your son's files into the new account, there is no other method available to resolve this.
