A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
If additional OneDrive storage is not showing yet, use this sequence:
- Go to Manage storage, refresh the page, and check whether the new quota appears.
- Wait up to 24 hours for the storage change to appear.
- If the account was locked, the new quota can take up to 2 hours to show after purchase. If it still has not updated after 4 hours, use support.
- If the quota still has not updated after 24 hours, unlink and relink the OneDrive account on the PC.
- In the OneDrive app, confirm the correct Microsoft account is signed in. If a different account is shown, switch to the personal Microsoft account that was used to buy the storage.
- If using Outlook mobile to check storage, fully close and reopen the app, then go to profile avatar > Settings > Account > Storage and tap the subscription type to force a refresh.
- If the storage still does not appear after 24 to 48 hours, contact Microsoft Support.
If OneDrive is already over quota, files remain accessible but become read-only until usage is reduced or the new storage is applied. New uploads, edits, and sync will not work while over quota.
