Startup Verification failed, need immediate Help

Hi,

I recently applied for the $5,000 Azure startup credits, but my verification was unsuccessful with the message: “We couldn’t verify your startup.”

I haven’t received any additional details explaining the reason for the failure, which makes it difficult to understand what needs to be addressed. I’ve submitted a support request and included documentation to validate my startup, but I’m currently unclear on the next steps or how to request a re-verification.

Programs like Microsoft startup credits are incredibly valuable for early-stage founders, and I truly appreciate the support they provide. At the moment, I’m looking for guidance on how to proceed, specifically how to understand the verification issue and provide any additional information needed to move forward.

I’d appreciate any help in connecting with the right team or getting clarity on next steps.

Thanks,

Hamoodey Alaboudi

    Hi @Hamoodey Alaboudi

    Hi Hamoodey,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I'm sorry to hear you're stuck on this. The "We couldn't verify your startup" message is frustratingly generic. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't expose the exact reason for rejection, even to support, because that check runs through a third-party verification provider. But here's what I've seen work for others hitting this same wall:

    1. Head back into Founders Hub and select "Re-verify Domain" (or the business re-verification task) rather than waiting on your existing ticket alone. Upload a fresh document — a domain purchase invoice, domain registry confirmation, or business registration record — dated within the last 12 months.
    2. Double-check every detail matches exactly — business name and address on the document must match your Founders Hub profile character-for-character. This mismatch is the single most common cause of repeat failures.
    3. Follow up on your existing support ticket through the Founders Hub portal itself (the "?" icon → Support), rather than a general Azure billing ticket. You can also use "Get program support" under "Your Microsoft Team" on your Founders Hub/Azure overview page — that routes straight to the team that actually reviews these cases.

Since the reason isn't disclosed, I wouldn't spend time waiting for an explanation. Put your energy into resubmitting the cleanest, most current, exactly-matching documentation instead.

Hope this gets you unblocked quickly!
