    Hi Paul,

Are you not seeing an update?

Is it failing? What Insider build are

you on? Use WIN+R, type winver

    for the build #.

    Try this in order:

    1. Go to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates.
      • If updates appear, install them and keep the PC powered on and signed in so the build can finish installing.
    2. Check the Windows Insider settings.
      • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
      • Make sure the device is still enrolled and a channel is selected.
    3. Confirm the PC is activated.
      • Go to Settings > System > Activation.
      • Windows must be activated to receive Windows Insider Preview builds.
    4. Check diagnostic data settings.
      • Windows Insider Preview builds require enough diagnostic data to be enabled so preview builds can be delivered.
    5. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      • Find Windows Update and select Run.
    6. Check storage and network.
      • Make sure the device has enough free space: at least 16 GB for 32-bit Windows or 20 GB for 64-bit Windows.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi‑Fi and confirm the device is connected.
    7. If the update is stuck or keeps failing:
      • Restart the PC.
      • Then go back to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates again.
    8. If the build is expiring and no updates are offered:
      • Check whether the device is already on the latest build for the selected Insider channel.
      • Also check whether a known issue is blocking updates for that build.
    9. If none of that works, do a clean install of Windows as the last step.
      • This is more disruptive than normal updating.
      • Reinstalling or clean installing Windows can help reset the device when update issues persist.

If the device is showing an expiration warning, staying current is important. If no update appears after checking Insider enrollment, activation, diagnostic data, troubleshooting, storage, and connectivity, a clean install is the documented fallback.
