Hi Team,

I am facing an issue with Microsoft Excel on Mac. Excel crashes unexpectedly whenever I use the Command (⌘) + Arrow Key shortcut to navigate within a worksheet.

Issue Details:

  • Application: Microsoft Excel
  • Platform: macOS
  • Issue: Excel crashes immediately when pressing Command (⌘) + Arrow Key
  • Affected shortcuts: ⌘ + ↑ / ↓ / ← / →
  • Impact: Unable to use standard keyboard navigation in Excel
  • Frequency: Occurs consistently

The issue is affecting normal Excel operations and worksheet navigation.

Please investigate this issue and advise on the recommended resolution. If required, I can provide the Excel version, macOS version, crash report, or screen recording for further analysis.

Regards, Nitin Saxena

You haven't included macOS & Office Version Numbers so it can't be confirmed but if a simple restart of the Mac doesn't resolve it the most common cause of such misbehavior is a need for updates to either or both. If you provide those significant bits of information they can be verified.

Is the error report generated by the OS or by Microsoft Error Reporting [MERP]? If you choose to include it only the first ~20 lines are needed. Don't try to include the entire extensive report intended for software engineers with diagnostic systems.

You are using the newly released Beta version of macOS [Golden Gate]. Issues are to be expected with beta versions – that's why they are provided for testing p are provided for testing purposes.

Report any issues to the respective developers using the channels provided for those who are wiling to put their systems at risk. Only those developers can investigate problems with product which still are in development stages. Mainstream users can do nothing re beta version concerns
